Year 5 Visit Stibbington Centre

Year 5 spent a fabulous day with the staff at the Stibbington Centre for the land of our Victorian topic. Each child assumed the identity of a child who had attended the school during Victorian times. The children, under the expert guidance of Stibbington teachers Eve and Becky, experienced a day in the life of a Victorian pupil.  The children enjoyed a Victorian lesson and playtime - don’t be surprised if the children add stilts to their Christmas list this year! This was followed by a tour of the village – including a visit to the cemetery to pay their respects to their ancestors. It really helped the children to put all their learning in context, and as always, both their behaviour and enthusiasm for learning were wonderful.
