    Reading Award Assembly

    We held our Reading Award assembly this week celebrating children who have gained their bronze, silver and gold summer reading challenge certificates (Y3/4 and Y5/6), and the children who achieved 3 gold certificates this year were rewarded with a book token.

    EY Visit Southend Aquarium

    We had a wonderful time at the aquarium. The Early Years children thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the underwater animals and also exploring Dinosaur World. We also saw meerkats, tortoises and mongooses. A firm favourite was playing on the beach after the aquarium.

    Year 3 & 4 Visit from Author, Joanna Nadin

    Year 3 and 4 enjoyed a visit from rather fabulous author, Joanna Nadin.  Joanna has published 98 books, the vast majority of which are for children and the children enjoyed hearing her read an extract from one of The Worst Class in the World series.

    Jaguar Class Assembly

    Jaguars enjoyed sharing their learning about the rainforest and their time at Forest School.  The performed a class song composed during a musical workshop with Saffron Hall and enjoyed demonstrating their own rainforest instrumentals created with Mrs Cass in music.
