Year 5 Victorian Trip

We experienced strict rules and the 3 Rs in a Victorian classroom - luckily no-one got the cane!

The children also investigated mysterious Victorian artefacts and used their detective skills to work out what they were used for.  We were surprised to find out about some of the Victorian gadgets, such as an ice cream maker.  Finally, we explored the museum itself and found out about Victorian fashion, machinery and jobs such as corn plaiting.  We decided this would have been one of the better jobs Victorian children would have done!
