Remembrance Assembly

Today, all the children took part in a collective act of remembrance in both the infant and the junior schools, led by our year 6 classes.  The children listened intently to the history behind the Remembrance Poppy and why the Royal British Legion was formed.  We all took a moment of quiet reflection to remember those that have given their lives for us.  At the end of the assembly, all the children added their pennies to the poppy as part of our contribution towards this year’s poppy appeal.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
