Year 3 Roman Day

On Friday 12^th, Year 3 launched their new topic ‘Radical Romans’ with day long trip back to Roman times in the company of Marcus Aurelius Proculus from ‘Portals From The Past’. The children all dressed in Roman costume learnt about emperors, invasions, rebellions and so much more. They tried marching as a Roman legionary, took part in the rebellion of the Iceni tribe and the day finished with a gladiator fight. Many thanks to all parents – the children’s costumes were amazing. The ingenuity of some parents was so impressive. One mum had even made a real laurel headdress that morning! Please enjoy the photos…
