Year 3 Visit Walton-on-the-Naze

Year 3 started the new half term with a trip to Walton-on-the-Naze - the launch for their new topic 'Fascinating Fossils'.
The day was spent fossil hunting, examining rock pools and following the WW2 war trail where the children were excited to discover a WW2 'pill box' - part of the wartime coastal defence for the East coast. Of course, everyone also visited the Naze tower and climbed to the very top for the amazing views. The children already have picked up lots of knowledge about the coastal erosion, rocks and fossils which will be built on through this half term.
