St Mary's Concert

On Wednesday 30 September, 14 year 5 choir pupils spent a very enjoyable afternoon singing with other local school choirs at St Mary's Church. The event was arranged by Hannah Razzell of the St Mary's Music Association, and the singing was led by Lynsey Callaghan, a leading youth choral conductor, accompanied by local composer and conductor, Philip Sunderland.

At the end of the afternoon, families joined us in the church for a wonderful performance of the songs that had been taught – including three-part harmonies and songs sung in Swahili! As ever, our pupils made us immensely proud, with their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm; we had a wonderful time.

A special mention goes to Leah, who performed a solo in front of all of the other schools.
