Year 6 York trip day 4

After an early start today we have visited the Living Seas Centre at Flamborough and the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs. Despite the windy conditions, the children spent the morning rockpooling, identifying different sea creatures and developing their understanding of how each is adapted to the environment it lives in.

In the afternoon we visited Bempton Cliffs and the children learnt more about adaptation, in seabirds this time, as well a developing their understanding of food chains and the transfer of energy. The children are currently packing ready for the morning before having tea and heading back inside the city walls for our Tales of York story session.

Tales of York and birthday cake.
