On Wednesday 23rd May Year 6 visited Saffron Walden to launch our summer term topic. We visited Bridge End Gardens where we took part in a tour, a quiz about the gardens and were given the opportunity to plant tomato seeds. The staff will look after these until they have germinated and then return them to school. After lunch we completed some different activities in the gardens including some sketches and some poetry using our senses. On the way back to school we walked past St Mary’s church and through town where we identified some of the historically important buildings in Saffron Walden.
