On the 22nd of May 2012 (or October the 12th 1940) year 6 excitingly came into school dressed (amazingly) as World War 2 evacuees. We started our day with a short introduction by our ‘teachers’ for the day - Peter and Roger.
After the short but very interesting introduction, we then walked into the hall nervous about how our ‘teacher’ was going to behave. We were shocked by his sudden change in personality- he even caned Harry S, Aiden B, Skye S and Chloe K (Well, pretended to cane them!)
By now we had had enough of this evil teacher; and decided it was time for break! Not only were we terrified when we walked back into the hall, our teacher appointed Mrs Graham as his personal caner!
Once the ‘school day’ had ended, we walked back to the classroom and looked at some genuine WW2 coins.
When lunch had finished, we excitedly ran into the hall for our next experience. It turned out to be the best part of the day - as we relived a market place and survived an air raid. Once the air raid was over, we tried to discover who the German spies were. We had all guessed Mrs Graham or Mrs Mellar. However, the real spies were Rheanna B and Ethan S as Mrs Mellar only stole a pair of tights!
Overall, our day couldn’t have gone better and we all really enjoyed the experience.
