On Thursday 7th October, the Year 5 children visited Audley End House to find out more about Victorian life. The children wore amazing Victorian costumes to make the day even more of a memorable experience.
During the day, the children enjoyed a tour of the house and even got to see one of the servant’s rooms. The children learnt about the different jobs that the servants did and had a go at flower arranging, polishing the silver and a lucky few had the chance to empty a chamber pot!
The day was a great success and we all agreed that we would definitely have preferred to be the Lord or Lady of the house!
