Year 4 visit Kentwell Hall for a Tudor day.

On Monday 15th June, Year 4, all dressed as Tudor children, visited Kentwell Hall. We discovered what like was like for the people who worked at the Manor in Elizabethan times. Great favourites were the smithy at the forge and feeling the weight of the chainmail, the woodworkers with the lathes, the horror at the idea of washing clothes in urine for stain removal (we had water when we tried!) and the archery- especially learning about the swallowtail arrow tip that when removed, pulled someone’s innards out with it!
