Year 3 Visit to West Stow

On Monday 14th March, the children of Year 3 visited West Stow, the site of an Anglo-Saxon village.

The village has been faithfully recreated, which gave the children the opportunity to explore the houses, weaver’s cottages, blacksmiths and the great hall.
After lunch, the children visited the museum of artefacts, which gave them the opportunity to try on clothing, wear the helmets, look at daily life (including lots of Anglo-Saxon combs) and explore other aspects of life in the past.
The weather was very kind to us this year, meaning a great time was had by all.
