Under rather cool, grey skies, the Katherine Semar Schools held their summer fete on Saturday 18th May. Although the weather looked inclement, we were fortunate and were able to hold the fete outside. Pupils brought their parents and friends and fortified by the barbeque, tea room and ice creams (is it ever too cold for ice cream?), people were able to enjoy the bouncy castle, tombolas, hooplas, traction engine rides as well as many other attractions. Just over £3,000, to be shared between the two schools, was raised . Many thanks to all parents, pupils and staff who helped make the fete such a success.
The winning entries for the 'Decorate A Cup' competition were:
Year 3 Annabel Halls,
Year 4 Toby Smith
Year 5 Kieran Harrison
Year 6 Verity Sweeting.
