Katherine Semar Infant and Junior schools held a photography competition for their Creative Arts Week with the theme of 'Celebrating Saffron Walden'. They received lots of entries from children aged 4 up to 11 years old. The children had a great time exploring Saffron Walden and taking photos of their favourite places. The only rule was 'to be creative', and they certainly were. The winners were presented with a framed copy of their photograph and have earned a place in the new art room gallery, which will be opened in the autumn term. The overall winner was Theo in Year 5 for a photograph of the local library. Ruby, Khushi and Chloe won their year group competition and will have their framed photograph exhibited.
