Ambassadors and School Council

We are proud of our ambassadors. The class ambassadors were elected by the class.

The Environment, Curriculum and Well-being ambassadors applied and were selected the the member of the Senior Leadership Team who oversees the area.


All pupils are members of the School Council, which meets each half term to discuss issues and make decisions.

What is a Class Ambassador?

Class Ambassadors are responsible for representing their class when talking with visitors to the school.

What does a Class Ambassador do?

· Talk to visitors about what they are learning in the classroom What skills will a good Class Ambassador need?

· Be confident to speak to visitors

· Be able to clearly explain their learning

· Have a positive, enthusiastic approach to learning

· Be smart and well presented

· Be reliable

We are the Curriculum Ambassadors.  We are responsible for representing the voices of all of the children in the school in the development of our school’s INSPIRE curriculum.  We run an annual pupil survey, meet with governors and run projects to make sure our curriculum is the very best it an be.

Environment ambassadors

What are Environment Ambassadors?
Environment Ambassadors are responsible for helping to make the school buildings, playgrounds, fields and wildlife areas at Katherine Semar the very best they can be.
 
What do our Environment Ambassadors do?
- Environment ambassadors attend meetings about the school environment
- They collect the views of children in their year group and share them at meetings
- They organise an annual pupil survey about the school environment
- They talk to visitors about our school’s environment
- They help the senior leadership team to constantly improve the environment, make Katherine Semar look as good as possible and become     more environmentally friendly and a safe place to be

Well-Being Ambassadors

What is a Well-being Ambassador?

Well-being Ambassadors will be responsible for helping to make the well-being of all children at Katherine Semar the very best it can be.

 

What does a Well-being Ambassador do?

· Well-being ambassadors will attend meetings about the well-being of pupils.

· They will need to collect the views of children in their year group and share them at meetings.

· They will organise an annual pupil survey about the well-being of pupils.

· They will talk to visitors about our school’s well-being.

· They will help the senior leadership team to constantly improve the well-being of pupils. What skills will a good Well-being Ambassador need?
