As part of National Science and Engineering Week, all pupils took part in a series of investigations and experiments in school last week. Many local schools also carried out these investigations as heats for a local 'Science Olympiad'.
During these activities, the pupils worked on different tasks which tested their analytical thinking, problem-solving and team work skills in an attempt to represent Katherine Semar Junior School at the Olympiad Finals at Saffron Walden County High School on Thursday 19th March.
There, the pupils will compete in three further investigations with the possibility of winning trophy which will be presented by a distinguished local scientist.
Science week in school proved to be a great success and was enjoyed by both pupils and teachers alike.
Finally, a 'Well done!' and 'Good Luck!' go to the following pupils, one from each class, all of whom displayed great skills and knowledge and so were selected to represent the school at the finals.
