KSJ Win Cricket Match against Dame Bradbury's

On Wednesday 11th May, Katherine Semar played Dame Bradburys 'B' team in Kwik Cricket. The team made their down to the Anglo American sports fields to play their first of three fixtures in pool B. The team, captained by Jonathon, opted to bat first. The five pairs batted confidently and despite giving away some unnecessary runs, they posted a score of 296. This was a fantastic opening score and was largely down to the big hitting of Conor, Tom and Mason coupled with the defensive play of Bhes, Mitosz and Jack.

In reply, Dame B's struggled to get going and Katherine Semar managed to restrict their scoring with some aggressive bowling and excellent fielding. In particular, both Harry and Jack bowled superbly and each picked up wickets including a stunning first ball yorker from Jack. This meant that Dame B's managed to score a very impressive 275 but due to the large opening score, Katherine Semar won by 25 runs.

Many thanks to all the parents, coaches and pupils who came down to support the team. Their next fixture is on Wednesday 25th May at the Anglo American sports fields and everyone is more than welcome to come along and enjoy the atmosphere.
