Katherine Semar clinch the Victory

Report written by Jade Hall:

"On the 27th January 2011, Katherine Semar Girls Football team played St Thomas More. St Thomas More kicked off. Near the beginning, as they were about to shoot, Jade and Ruby tackled them so we had the ball. The team worked hard and Chloe scored a perfect goal. St Thomas More upped their game and scored - the score was 1-1. We decided to up our game as well. Kornelia saved so many goals in the first half.

In the second half, all of the girls played extra well. In the second half, St Thomas More got more competitive but we were able to match them and tackled them. Chloe scored again making it 2-1 to us. Near the end of the game, St Thomas More got another goal making it 2-2. However, Chloe grabbed the winner, completing her hatrick, with a superbly struck free kick. The end score was 3-2 to us and we were so happy that we started jumping up and screaming for joy.

We owe a special thanks to Kornelia for saving most of the shots. We would like to thanks Ttandi and Adam for training us, Mr Wallace for refereeing and encouraging us and all the people who supported us.

Our next match is on Thursday 3rd February away at Great Chesterford and you are welcome to come along and support us.
