The sun was shining on us on Wednesday 6th July as the Junior School children competed in their annual Sports Day. The event was cancelled last year due to such terrible weather, so it was with real joy that the potted sports and races were set up.
With a crowd of well-wishers, the children took part in a variety of events, from football dribbling to obstacle courses. Each event earning house points for their teams.
The second part of the morning had all the individual events.
50m and 75m sprints; hurdles; 300m and 600m longer distance races and a relay. This was the first year that we had a full oval running track, and it provided us with thrilling races and close finishes.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the morning a success and to the children who competed brilliantly.
