On Thursday 22nd April, Christian Shaw, Rueben Bird Tulloch, Alice Rogers and Georgina Dunham represented the school at the ‘KS2 Essex Schools’ Mathematics’ competition. Thirteen local schools participated in the event and after four challenging rounds, Katherine Semar Junior School was placed an impressive third!
The four rounds of the competition involved problem solving activities, a visual memory test and a domino challenge! The competition not only tested the mathematical skills of the pupils, it required excellent team work. The children were praised for their outstanding strengths in both and should be incredibly proud of their achievements.
