Creative Writing Competition

Ten of our Year Six pupils were invited to a presentation evening at St Mary’s School in Cambridge as a result of their incredible entries to the school’s sixth annual creative writing competition.  The theme  was ‘The Future’ and children had to imagine stepping out of their front door in the year 3017.  The competition attracted a record number of almost four hundred entries so we were hugely excited that ten of our pupils were invited to the presentation evening, where renowned author, Sophie Hannah,  celebrated the superb quality of entries received this year.  We were extremely proud to see Charlie Thompson selected as one of six shortlisted authors from the three hundred entries to the Year 5/6 category.  The judges shared some of his writing and praised his creative approach.  Congratulations to Charlie, Lizzy, Lily, Grace, Alice, Noah, Lauren, James, Lillia and Eva for this huge success.
