On Tuesday20th September 2011, class 6AH launched the new season of class assemblies with their look at the rights and responsibilities of being in Year 6.
The children started by sharing the roles that year 6 have to perform, including: House Captains, Librarians, School Councillors and other monitors.
The children read their winning election speeches for their jobs.
The children also revealed their new PSHE topic, Learning to Learn (L2L) where they are looking at ways to overcome barriers to learning and be able to fully engage with their learning. They explained what they had learnt in week1, Smarter sleeping.
After, diary extracts that were written in the style of William Beech, from Goodnight Mister Tom, were read out. The children also showed off their wasp's nest drawing, commenting on the skills developed and reasons for the media they chose.
