Choir Sing in town's Michaelmas Celebrations

On Saturday 18th September, our school choir sang in Saffron Walden town centre as part of the town's Michaelmas Celebrations. Everyone looked smart and smiley in their school uniforms and it was fantastic to see so many family members friends of the school and many passers by (some of whom were from the Saffron Walden Chorale Society) support the choir's wonderful singing.

They sang three songs: Kate Rusby's 'Awkward Annie', 'Here Comes The Sun' by The Beatles and a traditional American spiritual, 'I Am Weary, Let Me Rest'.

Many people commented on how the choir sang beautifully and all the pupils in the choir really enjoyed this chance to sing in front of an audience. The pupils will also proudly receive 5 house points each

Mr. Lloyd was very proud of all the children but especially those in Y3 who were singing in the choir in front of a big crowd for the very first time. Thank you to Mr. Hull, Mrs. Long, Mrs. Sault and Miss Willdigg, as well as to all the parents who supported them.
