At the end of their Superheroes topic, Year 1 wrote to Batman to find out which learning powers they had decided were most useful to be a Superhero in School. They realised that ALL of our learning powers were important: co-operation, having a go, not giving up, enjoying learning, keep on improving, using imagination (all those amazing gadgets won't invent themselves!), being curious and concentration. As well as this, the children were keen to tell Batman that the Katherine Semar Core Values were also vital: Be respectful, Be kind, Be Curious (again!), Be Positive and Be Resilient.
After receiving our letters, Batman kindly dropped in and handed out a certification to each child. Thank you Batman!
