An Interview with Mrs. Seymour


Mrs. Seymour has worked at Katherine Semar since 2006. She is a Learning Support Assistant in school, but
also runs Ace Kids Club (Katherine Semar's breakfast, after school and holiday club).


US: What do you like most about Katherine Semar?
Mrs. Seymour: I like the children because all the children are friendly.
US: Why did you decide to work at Katherine Semar?
Mrs. Seymour: Well I worked in the Infants and decided I would like to work with older children.
US: What is the best thing that ever happened to you?
Mrs. Seymour: Having my children was the best thing that ever happened to me.
US: What is your greatest achievement?
Mrs. Seymour: My greatest achievement is running Ace Kids Club every day.
US: What was the most embarrassing thing you have ever done?
Mrs. Seymour: I can't tell you that!
US: What do you like and dislike about your job?
Mrs. Seymour: I like working with the children, and I dislike children getting hurt on the play ground.
US: Who is in your family?
Mrs. Seymour: Myself and husband, my two children and my two dogs, Jet and Jasper.
US: What are your hobbies?
Mrs. Seymour: Ballroom dancing, reading and listening to music.
US: Why are these your hobbies?
Mrs. Seymour: Because I find them relaxing after a day of work.
US: Where do you see yourself in ten years time?
Mrs. Seymour: On a nice holiday in Canada, spending my husband’s pension.
US: Why did you choose to do first aid at our school?
Mrs. Seymour: Because I like to make children feel better when they are
upset and have hurt themselves.
US: How did you come to work at Ace Kids Club?
Mrs. Seymour: Well I used to work at another after school club and Mrs.
Callaghan asked me if I'd work there.
US: How long have you worked in Katherine Semar?
Mrs. Seymour: Seven years in the Infants and three years in the Juniors.
US: What would be your dream job?
Mrs. Seymour: I'm doing my dream job working with children.
