EY Outdoor Phonics Session

The children enjoyed an outdoor phonics session today. The new phoneme was ‘ u’ so we took an ‘u u umbrella’  outside with us in case it rained- luckily for us it didn’t! The children blended words (e.g. sun, up, mud) before practising orally segmenting them and then writing them in chalk on the playground.
