In June, 5EW have really enjoyed two Forest School mornings in Radwinter Forest. We were extremely lucky with the weather on both mornings!
The first day we practised lighting fires and used a saw to make our own wood necklace with our Forest name on it. We also swung high on a rope swing that we worked together to make ourselves. It was so much fun!
The second day we searched for firewood to make a class campfire, on which we toasted huge marshmallows on wooden sticks that we had sharpened with potato peelers. They were delicious! We explored the forest and chose whether to build a den, climb, balance and jump on logs or search for minibeasts. Finally we all came together to enjoy campfire hot chocolate.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we wanted a third morning too!
