For 1JS' final trip to the Forest School in Year One, we made sure we had a particularly fabulous time. Having a fire and roasting marshmallows over it, is pretty hard to beat, so that's just what we did.
The children found habitats for woodland creatures, that they then hid in those places.
Everyone looked for their favourite colourful autumn leaf, and we also found some interesting droppings - we are pretty sure that they are from a deer. It is so lovely to think about the deer and other creatures visiting our camps when we are not there.
Right at the end of our time, a woodland creature DID make an appearance, in the shape of a rather wonderful and enormous frog!
