York Updates

York 2010

Day 3
The children woke at a reasonable hour and ate a full English breakfast. A visit to a park preceded a walk to the Castle Museum, where they saw aspects of WW2 and Victorian life. The gaol proved popular! Lunch was eaten there and then a visit to The Dig, followed by the Jorvik centre.
We returned to the hotel for dinner and then went on a 'Tales of York' ghost walk.
The children went to sleep at half nine.

Please note, that the Day 4 footage will be delayed as we are returning home. Please check the website later in the week.

York Day 2

day 2 in York Year 6

The children slept so well that they all needed waking up this morning! We ate breakfast and travelled to Eden Camp, a WW2 Prisoner of War camp. The children enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot.
A walk on the city walls was followed by a trip to the bowling alley. Well done to Charlotte W. who won overall!

Dinner was Leek and potato soup, followed by fish, chips and peas, then fruit and ice-cream.

The children wrote up their diaries and went to bed by 9:30pm.

Day 1

We have arrived safely in York, after spending a day in Whitby. The weather has been mixed, but while we have been out and about it has mostly been dry. The wind on the exposed coast was fierce!

The children enjoyed a lunch at a traditional fish and chip shop, then took a boat ride around the harbour. The planned beach walk was replaced with a walk around the town as the wind and tide were against us.

We arrived at the hotel at 6:00pm. A long day out! The children settled into their rooms before a dinner of soup, roast dinner and rhubarb crumble.
The children are yawning away, so hopefully will sleep well tonight! Fingers crossed!

Please enjoy the video of today's activities.
