Day 5 - Friday 21st October 2011
We had an early start today, waking the children at 6:30am. The children packed their bags and came down to cereal and pancakes for breakfast.
A brisk walk in the cool autumn air to York's minster was followed by a tour of the crypt and minster. After which, the children were shown the history of the site, from Roman times to the present.
Lunch followed in the Minster's grounds and then we walked to the coach. Wishing York farewell as we left we reflected on the 5 busy days. Everyone was tired, but pleased to have had such a good experience.
The journey back was good and we arrived back at school just before 5pm.
Please do your homework over half term.
Either: Create a diary for your York trip. (Working on a computer means you can add your own digital photos or use the photos from this page.)
Or give a detailed account of one of the visits we went on,
Or do a research project on York.
You can be as creative as you like, making models, creating huge projects or anything else that you wish to do as long as you follow the following three rules.
1. Do your best work.
2. Present it well so it can be displayed.
3. Hand it in on the first day back after the half term holiday.
