On Tuesday 6th March 2014 Year 3JD and 3JH learnt what it was like to live in Britain during Viking times.
The children looked splendid dressed up as Vikings and participated in a whole days activities which included; making dragon figure heads for their long ships, collecting wood and cooking on an open fire, making runes out of clay, using recipes and mixing herbs and spices to make medicines (to cure all sorts of ailments!) and much, much more. In the afternoon they became archaeologists, digging up, classifying and making a pictorial record of the treasures they had found.
A great day was had by all! Many thanks to the parents that helped.
Enjoy the photos.
