To help launch our fossils topic, we took Year 3 for a day trip to Walton On The Naze.
The weather was (mostly) kind as we took part in our activities. Learning the history of the Naze Tower, and climbing up. We looked at coastal sea defences and how the cliffs were formed 50 million years ago.
We searched the rocky beach for fossils, finding many and we took a World War 2 trail walk and explored the pill boxes that dot the coastline.
Lunch was eaten in the new education centre to avoid the rain.
