3GS and 3JA have thoroughly enjoyed attending Forest Schools this half term. It has been a hugely beneficial part of the curriculum, which has enhanced our 'Stone Age' topic. The children have enjoyed learning how to make their own Stone Age tools such as axes and spears, which they used to pretend to hunt for food as the Stone Age people might have done. The children have also enjoyed making and cooking oatcakes on the fire, making dens to use for shelters and learning how to spin wool with a spindle.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of the parent helpers who came to support us with Forest Schools, we couldn't have done it without you!
