On Thursday 1st March, the children at Katherine Semar Junior School joined children from around the World in celebrating World Book Day. As part our celebrations, the children wrote a selection of their own exciting stories to experience just what is was like to be an author!
The children also enjoyed taking part in ‘Buddy Reading’ with the Infant School. The infant children had the opportunity to read their reading book to their ‘buddy’ from the Juniors and then it was the turn of the junior children to read a story to their partner. All of the children really enjoyed the experience and we look forward to more opportunities to celebrate reading across the two schools in the future.
