On Tuesday 20th October, the Year 5 children participated in the ‘Big Sing Africa!’ at Saffron Walden County High. The ‘Big Sing’ is a charity concert on behalf of WaterAid, a charity providing clean water in developing nations. The children have been busy practising the songs in school and during their singing session with Ms. Wheeler. Their hard work certainly paid off - the concert was a huge success!
The children came dressed in the colours of the many flags of Africa which looked spectacular. Bella and Alfie performed as a part of a sensational solo group. As well as performances from our children, the concert included performances from the pupils of other local primary schools, the pupils of SWCHS and the Saffron Walden Youth choir.
The evening was extremely well supported by and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Congratulations to all of the very talented children!
