This week we had Linda Cross, a volunteer for SightSavers, come into school. She held a whole school assembly, talking to the children about the work that SightSavers do for people around the World who have difficulties seeing. She then spent time with each class doing classroom activities. She showed us how important other senses become when you are partially sighted, through the use of feely bags and a sensory story. She also showed us how blind people read using braille.
