In January 2011, the children of Katherine Semar Junior School celebrated languages week.
During the week, the children had the opportunity to explore the different languages and cultures of the pupils of the school. The theme of the week was Goldilocks and the Three Bears. On Wednesday, the children enjoyed Polish workshops with parent governor, Manuela Kozlowska. They played games to practise the language of the story. Emmanuelle Carme, Primary Language Consultant, led an assembly later in the week in which, the children shared the story of Goldilocks in French. During the day, each year group enjoyed a workshop led by Emmanuelle and produced French work for an eye-catching display. The week was a great success and enjoyed by all.
