We had a lovely time at Mrs Moy’s assembly today, hearing about what our children have been achieving out of school. We heard from children who had achieved awards in karate, trampolining, ballet, swimming, skiing and gymnastics.
One child brought their certificate they were awarded from climbing the Monument in London. A number of children spoke about climbing the monument with their families, as they too had been inspired by the Great Fire of London topic in year 2.
Achievements can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and one of our pupils generously decided to donate the gingerbread house he had won at Christmas to children at a local hospital. The hospital were delighted with the gift and felt it was an achievement to think of others and be so charitable.
It was lovely to see so many parents and family in the audience. Well done to all who took part. Mrs Moy will have another assembly next term, so if you missed sharing your achievement this time you can participate next time.
