The annual carol service took place at Katherine Semar Infant School on Thursday 17th December. This is always a favourite occasion with staff, pupils and parents alike, as it is a time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
The hall is darkened, and the service begins with a procession of pupils holding candles. Many favourite Christmas songs and carols are included in the service, interwoven with the traditional Bible readings which tell the Christmas story. As the story unfolds, the Nativity scene builds up, culminating in the arrival of the Three Wise Men.
This year we were lucky enough to have Sebastian, Tom and Alexander as the Wise Men, who delighted us with their beautiful solos. The first verse of Away in a Manger was also charmingly performed by Khushi, Zara and Tallulah- Belle.
A very moving and special way to mark the end of term.
