Beech and Oak Out of School Achievement Assembly

On Wednesday 29th March, Mrs Moy held the second of her popular out-of-school-achievement assemblies this week. This time it was the turn of pupils in Beech or Oak in Years 3-6, to tell of their achievements made outside of school hours. These included rugby awards, football trophies, karate belts, badges gained at Guides and Girl’s Brigade… One talented pupil had played onstage at Saffron Hall in a musical festival while another had had their hair cut short and her long plaits were sent to the ‘Little Princess Trust’ who makes real hair wigs and hairpieces for children who suffer hair loss due to their cancer treatment. A Year 6 pupil showed the items she had sewn and created at a series of workshop sessions in a Walden craft shop. Perhaps the most unusual achievement was by Julia who had passed her level 1 ice skating exam in Norway at half term.
