On Tuesday 20th November 2012, 5CW performed took everyone back in time to experience what life was like during the Victorian period.
They explained what sort of leader Queen Victoria was at the time and described some of the jobs that young children were made to do to help their families earn a living.
They created a timeline of the work of Doctor Barnardo and Lord Shaftesbury who helped improve the lives of young children by setting up school and introducing laws to protect them.
The class then shared some of their William Morris art work they had been creating from designs they had carved into lino tiles and then printed.
Finally, 5CW performed a Victorian playground dance they had devised during their PE lessons.
